Meiera Stern
When she was at the tender age of 10, the Apple IIe’s rainbow cord attracted Meiera Holz Stern to Apple like a fly strip catches flies. (She has always been a sucker for colorful graphics.) Other Maclights of her youth consist of using MacPaint in high school; writing college papers in a Mac lab at 3am at the University of Wisconsin, where she majored in English Lit with an emphasis in creative writing; and then attending the Rhode Island School of Design where she went to learn all about graphic design, and where her Mac-life expanded in new dimensions.
She met her future husband Hadley there, and has spent the past 10 years making space for his expanding Mac Museum. During this time she has worked as a professional designer and writer in the Boston area. Meiera has been with Apple Matters in various behind-the-scenes ways since Hadley founded it in 2002. Now she brings her love of English, graphics, and all things Apple to Apple Matters as its Executive Editor.
