It’s a Small World After All

by David Parmet Feb 27, 2006

Now that the Disney/Pixar marriage has been announced, and our own Steve Jobs is about to become the single largest holder of Disney stock (take THAT Walt), it’s time to contemplate the implications. How will the House of Mouse impact the House of the One-Button Mouse? Will we still go Goofy over Leopard?

Clearly, with the arrival of all that pixie dust in Cupertino, things will change. After all, who needs a two-button mouse when you wear a four-fingered glove?

Speaking of gloves, all Apple employees will be required to wear their corporate-issued, four-fingered gloves, especially when giving the three-fingered salute to their PC-encumbered friends. Apple Store employees are exempted from the glove rule but are instead forced to wear mouse ears in an attempt to make them seem approachable.

The iPod Mini, that became the iPod Nano is once again the iPod Minnie. And yes, the rumors are true, there will be an iPod Minnie doc for the Mac Minnie. And don’t forget to pick up a pair of Mouse Ear buds.

Coming soon from Disney studios, Freaky Friday II - Hilarity ensues as Mac users are forced to work on Windows 98. The Software Pirates of the Caribbean IV - Finding the only guy who ever actually paid for Dreamweaver. And I’m sure you are all looking forward to Herbie the Windows Vista Bug Report (very long).

The start-up bong will be replaced by a rousing chorus of ‘When you wish upon a start-up disk.’

When you leave your MacStoryBook Pro unused for more than 20 minutes, it’ll go to Sleepy. The Genius Bar is now the Doc Bar but it’s usually staffed by Grumpy.

Not to be outdone by the corporate synergy breaking out all over… the Disney Theme Parks will change as well. The World of Tomorrow will become the World of Possible Tomorrows - where Apple’s share is 95% of the global PC market, every boy and girl carries a Newton to school and a magic castle filled with enchanted NeXT boxes powers eWorld - the happiest world on the Internet.

  • No offense to you, David. But I did find your comment: “(take THAT Walt)”, quite disrespectful.

I’d love to see a movie about Steve Jobs and Bill Gates switching bodies.
