The Harry Potter iPod

What do you think of this new iPod? Is it Apple just churning out special iPod after special iPod or does this fill a void in the iPod universe?

Other than the Hogwart’s Crest on the back there is nothing to distinguish this iPod from the regular 20 Gb iPod, maybe if it were green with a black click wheel or had a lightning bolt...somewhere.

My take is that, other than trying to appeal to the bazillion Harry Potter readers out there, Apple is attempting to expose the iPod’s audiobook functionality to an audience that might only think of it as a music player.

To MacGlee: it *does* have a lightning bolt - just plug it in and watch the charge icon.
