Description

The PowerBook G4 (12” DVI) improved the speed of the previous model.  It was still housed in an aluminum casing that was smaller than the compact 12.1” iBook.  It ran at 1.0Ghz and had 40Gb of hard drive space.  It had a slot loading Combo or SuperDrive and 256Mb of RAM.  It also upgraded the mini-VGA port to mini-DVI and upgraded the USB ports to the new 2.0 standard.

History

Building on the success of the PowerBook G4 (12”), the PowerBook G4 (12” DVI) added new features to the smallest professional level Apple laptop.  The Combo drive configuration was available for $1,799 and the SuperDrive configuration was $1999.
