Description

A speed bump on the PowerBook G4 (Gigabit Ethernet), there were two configurations available of the PowerBook G4 (DVI).  The low-end configuration had a 667Mhz processor, a 30Gb hard drive and 256Mb of RAM.  The high-end model had an 800Mhz processor, a 40Gb hard drive and 512Mb of RAM.  There was and audio input and a new DVI video output that could also be used with VGA or ADC through adapters.  The screens were higher resolution and CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives were standard. 

History

The PowerBook G4 (DVI) offered improved processor speeds in addition to enhanced audio and video capabilities.  The high-end model also had an Airport card pre-installed for wireless networking.  The original prices were $2,499 for the low-end and $3,199 for the high-end.
