iPhone Name Lawsuit

So, Cisco is suing apple over the name iPhone, arguing that they own the trademark, which they do. Apple has replied by calling the lawsuit “silly”. What do you think of the legal merits of the case? What do you think the effect on the iPhone will be? What do you think of the company, which sues others for using “pod”, trying to argue that they can name their phone the exact same thing as a competitors product?.

I dont think that Apple should have named their phone iPhone because cisco has the rights to the name and already has released a product with that title. I also think that this will cause Apple to get rights to every possible name of products that start with “i” from iPencil to iBox. It is going to get really rediculous.
