It seems like it’s the same with “I love you.” I go on myspace and that’s all the teenagers are saying to each. “I love you!” I wasn’t in high school THAT long ago, and we didn’t really talk to each other that way.
Man, am I getting old or what? I just had a daugther. By the time she gets to be a teenager, they’ll be speaking a foreign language.
In any case, I don’t even care if someone hates Nirvana. My point is that he should hate them for something that’s actually true or something they did instead of something he just made up or is too ignorant to understand.

So true bro, I already put the nix on myspace with my older daughter. We had that conversation about the way she portrayed herself vs. the way she actually is. She just chalked it up to “the way kids are” which translates into she doesn’t know why she does it. I have decided that one of the biggest problems (my opinion) is the pace in which kids are required to grow vs the speed at which they mature. It’s no wonder that a lot of them don’t start to really get it until they are well into thier 20’s.
I need to correct part of my earlier statement. After consulting a friend, we came to the conclusion that the 2 bands were Warrant and Pearl Jam and not Poison and Nirvana.

What I say is for your own good. You are old. Not literally, of course but, todays kid’s change like a light bulbs. You’ll always seem outdated. Sorry, I couldn’t put it nicely
BTW: your right the damn US school systems will have your daughter speaking spanish by the age of four. And how is your printer by the way?

Spanish would at least be useful. But I’m referring to their own made-up language so that parents can’t understand them. The current teen-speak has evolved from text-messaging shortcuts and myspace. Who knows what it’ll be when my daughter is a teen.

It’s great, as long as I’m not trying to print from XP-->Mac or vice versa. Other than that, I’ve always been a big fan of the Canon inkjets, and the Pixma line lives up to my expectations (so far).

I knew what you were referring to but, I oppose the government’s push for the nation’s children to speak spanish.

I was just wondering if my instructions work. At least they did for my Epson printer.

I guess I would too, but I don’t see the govt trying to push for that. Last time I checked, the govt was trying to build a giant wall between us and Mexico.

nana - Feb 24, 2006 01:58pm i hate the fact that nirvana became a big success in the music industry just because cobain killed himself, i think it was pure marketing. and i hate T.a.t.U. because they gain popularuty on the charts for kissing each other, and in the end they one of them (tatu girls) got pregnant of their bass player.
i repeat, Cobain’s death is pure marketing.
T.a.t.U. has been a baloney from the very beginning of their music career:) Even if Cobain’s death is really pure marketing, then it’s anyone but not Cobain who reaped the harvest:) Well, in fact, I don’t like Nirvana. But I’m rather indifferent towards them - there are much more other things to hate except Nirvana!
