I picked up two of these docks, one as a gift to a friend.  Like a lot of Shuffle owners, I was concerned with how precarious / vulnerable my Shuffle looked when sticking straight out the side of my iBook.

It’s a great concept - a nice, rotating dock that you could even leave in your laptop (if your bag isn’t too snug). It does exactly what it’s designed to do - and provides an LED to indicate status.

The downside:  The PivotDock does not solve one of the issues with the Shuffle: when it’s plugged in, the adjacent port is still unuseable due to its width.  The only other concern I have is that the connection is not as tight as I’d like it to be - the Shuffle fits a little loosly into the dock, making me wary of umounting it without intending to do so.

Still, it’s attractive, minimalist, and useful for those who frequently have their Shuffle docked.

$15.99 USD.  Ships from Hong Kong.

Nope, they don’t come with a USB cord.  At the time that I picked up my Shuffle, I had an eMac, which the Shuffle wouldn’t plug into due to the plug location, and the dealer did throw in an extension cord, but not all users would get it.  Besides - I’d rather have a tiny little plug like this, than even a 6” cord to fill up my bag…

This is one of those problems that I could solve with a usb extension cord, and velcro (duct tape works well too).
