1) I need a computer that is totally silent, for focused, creative work. Is this the case for Macbook Pro?

2) I’ve been told that since Apple uses Linux systems, it no longer has the stability it used to have. Is this true?

3) Does anyone know if multicore computers are coming out in the next few months? Is it advisable to wait for Snow Leopard to come out before buying a new Mac, because it runs on a different processor?

4) I have an old i-book I can barely work on, the mouse doesn’t scroll correctly (jumps and starts) and there is no delete button, only backspace. Has this been corrected since?

5) I hate the filing system on my old i-book, it’s not easy to store or find a document back unless you save it on desktop. Has this improved?
