This program is awesome for cataloging your media collections. The new version comes with a Dashboard Widget for quick access. You can use your iSight camera as a barcode scanner for entering pieces into the library.
Well worth the price.

Only vaguely related… I’m so over Dashboard… took me about a week to really get sick of it… Aim for F11, hit F12 by mistake. Installed Dashboard Killer… I’m a big fan of “Clutter” for use in conjunction with iTunes… drag the album cover onto the desktop… it’s just like my REAL desk which is covered with DVDs and CDs.... |

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Delicious Library and expect to purchase a copy at some point in the near future to keep track of my books, DVDs and music. One thing I’m curious about is how I can use this data and post it on the web. Currently I have a movie database of my own concoction on my website to track what movies I have. Is there a way to export data in Delicious Library? And if so, how likely is it that this data can be put on a website? |

DL is a rockin’ program. Mike Matas (and Co.) did a rockin’ job. I started off with just demo, but the sheer awesomeness of this program made me purchase it. totally worth it. I have over 160 DVDs and I lend them out to my friends often. DL has helped me keep track of my movies since some of my friends are “long-term” borrowers. |

Delicious Library really is a great application. There are also some other apps that can increase the functionality. see here |

Delicious Library is incredible. Having followed it from pretty close to the beginning of the app it has gone from amazing to phenomenal with each new version. I expect many great things to come from Delicious Monster, even though Mike Matas has moved to work at Apple. -d |

I have to say the same, i love DL...I currently have 300 DVD’s in there and its great to keep track of who has them. The widget is nice too cause it can be a little slow to load. The one thing i am missing is an HTML export or some kind of tie into .mac so it can make a page wiht your movies...actually a tie in with .mac would be really cool cause then your friends could “check out” movies online and you could get an email or something. would you think a feature like that would be cool? |

I don’t think the widget is that great, but otherwise it’s a great program. How many people would actually use .mac integration? |

I think .mac intergration with apps is one of those features that isn’t there yet...i think that if a lot of apps started to back up there data files there, then people would want to get .mac, you know? |

Wow! I had never heard of it before. Seems like a very reasonable price for everything it does. |

As you said
I think that it’s great that there is now a backup 3.0 component for DL. Maybe other companies will do the same. |

Delicious Library is the perfect example of a Mac application. Such joy to use, incredible connection to its users, and such a innovative solution to an “already been done” marketplace. Its too bad that Apple poached their UI designer. I’ve love to see how the talented guy developed outside of Apple. |

Frozonecold, i guess i am just able to predict the future I do think that there still isn’t enough control over what can be backed up because its a check box to backup the programs data, but developers could always write 2-3 backup plans that backup different files… |

Didn’t one of the makers of DL recently get hired by Apple? |
