Just wanted to share a story with you all and this seems to be the best place to share it. My town has a community message board online that you can post announcements, current events, etc.
Last week someone posted an entry asking if anyone knew of an organization that would take old Macs.
I, of course, volunteered myself. Well after posting my email (for Free) I got 5 other responses and I have since come home with:
-Performa 6110 CD
-Performa 550
-G3 iMac Slot Loading
-Powermac 7600
-Quadra 950
-Radius 17” Monitor
-Viewsonic 21” Monitor
-2 Laserwriter II
Many people have no use for their old macs and it is more of a hassle to trash them or throw them away then to have you go and pick them up. You should try it!

I got myself a free wacom, since there’s no os x driver for it.. YET! 
I can’t wait for the driver. The board originally costs 1000$

This is a sad day for me, all I got was a broken imac g3, still trying to fix it:(

Dang, my town doesnt have one!
I’m about to get a new desk, I’d love to get an old desktop to keep my iBook company, I’ve already got a keyboard and mouse, a G3 iMac would be perfect

Not really a fan, it’s a little too busy. I saw a really nice desk at Staples the other day. It was really simple and looked pretty modern.

I would post that asking for free Macs, if my expectations weren’t to get the same quality you have!!!
At work we have G3 servers slowely piling up all the time. It’d be neat to start a render farm of some sort. Aside from that what’re you going to do with that stuff?
