I had a couple older articles I commented on, linked from my site and I’ve found yesterday that the links no longer work. I then searched for the articles to get their new urls.. but I found nothing. There’s also no comment history in my account settings.

Are all of the articles and comments of old, forever gone from AppleMatters?

I don’t think they should be. If they’re stored somewhere, please put them back online.

I’m certain all the articles are still online, I know the furst ever AM article is, but the links may have changed. I suggest using the search box though Hadley and others may have niftier ways of locating the older articles.

When we switched from pmachine to expression engine a couple of years ago (is it that long now?) some of the links changed. For the most popular articles there are manual redirects, otherwise, the redirect is just to the general site. Not ideal, I know, but with 300 plus stories there was little other choice.

You can search for the old stories in the search box on the main site to find them, all the stories are still there.

thanks!
