Today me and my roomate went in to a Safeway in Boulder Colorado and were supised to see an iPod Vending Machine. First I noticed an LCD featuring an iPod ad and thought that was cool but then I realized the LCD was on an actual iPod vending machine… way awsome!!! It made me want to swipe my debit card right then and purchase a 60GB video just so I could tell everyone I dropped $400 dollars in a vending machine. Good thing I woke back up to reality and realized I have a car payment due.

They’ve had them in Japan for a while (they have vending machines selling all sorts of stuff), but I think that’s the first one I’ve heard of outside Asia. |

Yeah, the first one I saw was at the Atlanta airport. It strikes me as odd, that someone who doesn’t have an ipod already, would just decide to buy one right there. The one I saw at other accessories like FM transmitters, etc and that makes sense to me at an airport. But to drop $400? I would be interested to see how many they sell. |

What happens if someone breaks in to the machine? Sounds risky to me |

Or worse, what happens when you pay the money and it gets stuck in the machine. |
