Coherence is a great new view mode that allows you to run any Windows in mac os under parallels without seeing the Windows desktop! Each app sits in a self-contained window on your OS X desktop giving the illusion that the VM isn’t even there.
With such software installed, Mac will be beyond comparison(imho they say that there will also be an opportunity to resize windows by dragging without losing resolution - if you prefer to work with windoze-like desktop.

Parallels, Inc. is a provider of cost-effective next-generation server and workstation virtualization solutions. The company’s first product, Parallels Workstation, is a powerful desktop virtualization solution that empowers users with the ability to run multiple operating systems in completely independent, totally isolated virtual machines on a single physical computer.

I tried coherence mode and i can say that it really rocks. As much as i dislike windows i like Parallels - I have win Xp and 98 and linux running on my mac. New update brought support for USB and for booting xp from the Boot Camp partition directly. But most of all i liked drag&drop;support in the coherence mode. That’s what really makes my life much easier!

Well, windows works under parallels at almost native speed. All apps run properly. Of course it’s impossible to play games under parallels, because it doesn’t support 3d graphics - I use Boot Camp for these purpose (it is inconvenient to reboot every time, but it’s the only way smile ). Ihope that Parallels developers will do something to make graphics available. At least there’s a piece of news about 3d graphics under parallels
