Hi

I recently unpacked my old iMac Bondi blue for my kid. But every time anyone did anything it freez. Anyway, I thought I give it a go and try to install OS X. Everything went fine 10.2.2 get started and I had immediately a couple of update options, get Safari, update to 10.3 for instance. I did those updates and the computer died.

The only thing that happens is that I get a white screen with six lines of text in the upper left corner exactly as follows:

“bootr, unknown word
Failed to boot
Apple iMac open firmware 3.0 f3 built on 12/02/98 at 10:25:41
Copyright 1994-1998 APPLE Computer Inc.
All rights reserved
ok
0 > _ “

I tried to restart and start from install disc (holding down “c” when starting) several times but nothing happens, I just get this above described screen back.

Any ideas to solve this. Is it possible just clean the disc and start from the beginning?
