Hadley, I have noticed that the forum has really died down lately. There are only a handful of users who post regularly. I think you should do another contest or something else like that to get the forums going again.

If you didn’t notice the first contest didn’t really work.

I would expect people will be more active when there is more to talk about; when Leopard comes out perhaps. Most of the news recently has been about Zune.

I joined in the middle of the first contest so i was not a heavy user at the time. However what I did notice seemed to make me think that the contest did get the forums going.

I remembered it, BUT their where only many posts during the contest, after the contest ended so did the forums. I don’t think that was the goal.

I realize that. What Hadley needs to do is have a contest of some kind that is constantly running but the prize is cheap and wanted by users.

Something small and relatively cheap. For example, an iTunes gift card, iPod cases, laptop cases, iKlear cleaning kits. Things that are cheap but everyone still wants.

What other thing could Hadley do to get the forums going on again, besides another contest?

It’s a good question, and one I would love help answering! A forum is a community by its very definition. We have tons of great comments on our stories but so far it hasn’t transferred too much to the forums...any ideas out there?

I think that the idea I posted earlier in this thread would be great.

Hi gang. Fusing the Forums w/the article comments would add some fuel to the fire for me. I’m more of a forum poster than an article poster.
