I have a video ipod (not one of the new classics, just a (5g) video ipod), and the apple care is due to run out in a month.

Right on que I’m getting hard drive freezes, ‘clicking’ when waking up and just random freezing when wawking up from sleep.

After running the Hardware diognostics, I got a an M25 702 error with 17 failures.

Does this indicate bad HDD sectors? I’ve googled lots, but no one seems to know what the 702 error actually referres to.

Also, under applecare if it IS a hardware issue, will they replace it with the same model back or an equivalent new ‘classic’ as a replacement. (It’s an 80 gig model)

This is the 3rd video ipod I’ve had since I bought it ( all replaced under applecare), do these things have built in obselescence or waht!?!?!
