Popcorn has been a great program for me.  Popcorn in conjunction with MactheRipper has made it possible for me to protect my investment in my dvd’s by making copies.  The compression used by popcorn works much better than I thought would be possible.

MactheRipper is an awesome app! Its so simple, and indispensable. I use DVD2One for compression onto a standard 4.7 GB recordable dvd.

Another app to consider if not needing DVD file format is Handbrake it offers a great selection of compressions, while being very easy to use unlike some others *cough*ffMpeg*cough*

Handbrake allows you to bypass the MactheRipper step, saving you mucho time.
