TC, I’ll let you know when I get a chance to kick it around. BTW, you like zombies, so you’re already an “in” in my book.

i live in a small apartment. however when i am having a party i have my playlist set up and my powerbook locked away in my room. and it runs through the speakers in my living area. great for parties. or when you need to listen to 80’s hair metal while cleaning your living area after the party.

BigMac - Oct 12, 2005 07:14pm Nathan - Oct 12, 2005 06:30pm Airtunes is one of the most underrated Apple tech to come out.
It solves so many problems of having home digital audio, that its a wonder people don’t talk about it more.
But is it because not too many Airport Expresses have been sold or is that completely wrong?
Apple is the number 2 wireless networking company, just behind Linksys, actaully, so I’m gonna say quite a few have been sold.

never used it and probably never will. if i want to stream music i just open up the MP3s on my desktop from my iBook, and away i go. same goes if i want it on an entertainment sysytem, just plug in the stereo>RCA cord and i’m all set up.

“How fast did Apple embrace Wi-Fi? According to research by tech tracker In-Stat/MDR, Apple grabbed 20.2% of the global market for network interface cards (NIC) and wireless access points offering the 802.11g flavor of Wi-Fi. That put the Mac folks behind only Cisco (CSCO ) subsidiary and industry leader Linksys in sales of gear running 802.11g, which is quickly become the de facto standard for consumer and small-business Wi-Fi use.
Still, if Apple is No. 2 in sales, it leads in revenues. In 2003, it pulled in $148.3 million in 802.11g revenues, putting Jobs & Co. ahead of Linksys by some $32 million. True, Apple had a much smaller market share in older and slower 802.11b devices, but it didn’t even bother to advertise its products available in that market, instead choosing to emphasis the zippy newer line. ”
