Okay peeps...I’m redesigning my home office, and looking for table/desk options.
I want a corner setup, or at least one wall with a little on the next (to the right)
I have found some nice glass and steel desks for around $150, but not sure that’s what I want.
Let me know what you guys have, and where you got it, so I can get some ideas.
Thanks!

here’s my basic idea for a layout, but might move the desk to the left instead.

More info please…
Where on the desk will the computer be? Wireless or wires? Whats on the table? Where’s the mini-fridge?
I like the futon.

My current raised table setup is all from IKEA.
Got a table top and adjustable legs for about $130. Using a 24” barstool w/back as a chair.
It’s an ideal height to work at. You can sit or stand.
Now if I could only get that setup at work…

My current setup is a Rubbermaid corner desk with a 4ft Rubbemaid table next to it. I will try attaching a picture.
PS. Can any of you from Michigan or thereabouts recognize the brand of Soda? No prizes. I live in Atlanta but still have to buy this Soda.

I like the futon.
I have a CRT (non-flat, that will go near the middle of the desk. The right corner on the entertainment center side will likely house my printer and phone.
I will have 4 computers. Two laptops on the desk, two desktops on my lap...no wait, I mean two desktops on the floor or on the corner of the desk .
The table will have a lamp, wireless PS2 controller, and remote.
There will be plenty of wires because I’ll be using a KVM switch, a docking station for one laptop, and the wires from the 2 desktops. The desktops will be wired network, while the laptops will be wireless network.
My version of the mini fridge is a small thing that holds a six-pack and will go on the far left side of my desk, or, more likely, on the table beside the futon.

Here’s a better rendition of what I’m looking at. the bed is the futon folded out, but 90% of the time it will be folded up.
I did this on Jordan’s Room Planner. VERY cool flash app.

I mentioned above it is a futon, most of the time will be folded up as couch, but in that layout, I wanted to see how much room I would have left with it folded out.\
Any ideas on the desk? That was why I made this thread, lol.

Okay everyone, I’m getting a desk this weekend hopefully. I still don’t know which one. We’re making a run to IKEA on Saturday, but wondered if anyone else had any input before I go.
Check out my post above for a basic rendering of what I’m looking for.
Thanks,
MD

Well, that’s because you didn’t put the legs on last or have your finger crushed by the joint.

Got my iMac and gaming rig finally. Now going to IKEA on Saturday to finally pick up my desk. Can’t wait to get everything setup, and my office at least about 60% complete.
Here’s the desk I’m getting - Galant with some add-on pieces.
My only disappointment is that they don’t have this desk available in the dark brown wood they have on some of their other lines. The medium brown is too light, and the beech is nice, but doesn’t match what I want, so I have to settle for the birch, which is not great, but best option for what I need right now.
