  • I have just bought a new iMac and want to migrate my data from my old machine. However, every time I move mac, I use the migration assistant. Wow fantastic, easy to use etc. However, the layers of detritus, hidden files and obsolete preferences move with every migration. What is the easiest way to move machines, but be sure I have cleaned out any obsolete files?
