Those that peg the worthiness of the new iPhone on 3G, or GPS, are missing the real innovation. Sure, these technologies enable some new and exciting possibilities, but the thing that makes it all possible is the SDK and App Store. The iPhone with 3rd party applications is the killer disruptive feature! And that combined with faster access, and geo-locating, games, business apps and enterprise capabilities, will open the iPhone to a much wider market than before, enticing application developers to flock to this platform, making it the de facto standard that all other smart phone will need to emulate to stay competitive.
