November 19, 1997: Jobs Honored Twice

by Chris Seibold Nov 19, 2010

Many see Steve Jobs's performance since his return to Apple as nothing less than miraculous. It is important to remember that he did plenty before selling NeXT and moving back to the Apple campus. Fortunately, there are awards for just such achievements and Steve jobs received two in two days.

The first award was an induction into the Computer Reseller Hall of Fame (make your vacation plans now). Fellow inductees read like a "who's who" list of the computer industry and included Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer, to name but two.

The second honor came from PC Magazine. Acknowledging his profound effect on the computing industry landscape, the editors of the magazine recognized Steve Jobs with a lifetime achievement award.
