October 31, 2005: Apple Sells a Million Videos

With the introduction of the video iPod, iTunes was forced into double duty. Not only did the online store sell music it now sold videos. And judging from this Apple headline—iTunes Music Store Sells One Million Videos in Less Than 20 Days—iTunes was doing just fine in the video business, thank you very much.

Apple was pleased with the early results when the company announced that users had downloaded over a million videos this day in 2005.
