Think Secret To Continue?
The demise of Think Secret is a fascinating story and because of the multiple legal documents in place so many questions will go unanswered. Questions like, did Nick just really want to get on with life and leave Think Secret behind anyway? Did Nick feel like he had to close shop, because he realized that legally Apple had a case?
What is clear, thanks to this post from the company that handles advertising for Apple Matters, Think Secret and a number of great Apple sites is that Think Secret isn’t dead, at least not quite yet. The site will continue publishing through at least February 14th, when BackBeat Media will no longer run ads on the site. The note Nick published yesterday makes it sound like Think Secret is done as of yesterday, apparently this is not the case.
What is clear is that the Think Secret of old will eventually go away. It will no doubt be replaced by other rumor sites, most notably MacRumors. We have never gotten into the rumor game at Apple Matters but like every good Mac fan I’ve always enjoyed Think Secret over the years and am sad to see it go.

So either he was going to leave TS behind anyway or Apple had a legitimate legal case. It’s not at all possible that TS was simply bullied into submission by a sue-happy multi-billion dollar company that shut down a fan site because it didn’t like what it was reporting?
Everything points towards Nick being happy with terms.
