I used every version of mac os x (including the public beta) and puma was a significant step ahead. I used it every day with no problems.

I have one of these machines (along with a fairly extensive library of software) and still start it up occasionally. Even today it's a nice-looking compact computer.

September 18, 1988: Last Apple 2 Introduced
Actually the last of the 680x0 macs was the PowerBook 190, one of which I owned. It was sold in 95 and 96, and had a 66MHz 68LC040. The form factor was the same as the infamous 5300 series.

July 18, 1994: Quadra 630 Introduced. Last of a Breed
The IIc was not the last of the Apple II lines. The IIgs was released in late 1985 and the IIc+ was released in 1989. The IIc+ had a built-in 3.5" floppy drive as opposed to the IIc's 5.25", and an internal power supply as opposed to the IIc's external. Also it had a 4MHz chip, making it the fastest factory-built Apple II ever.
