Apple Introduces 1GB Nano

by Chris Seibold Feb 07, 2006

Apple has just brought the Apple store back online (8:50 AM Eastern time). The reason for the down time? The new 1 GB nano. From what I can tell it looks exactly like its more spacious cousins but retails for only $149. The screenless 1GB shuffles is still around for a mere $99 while 512 MB shuffle will set you back $69. I’d say the color screen of the nano is worth the extra 50 bucks but, you know, to each his own.

  • If you prefer, versus buying a new $69 512 MB shuffle, you can go to the deals section of the store and buy a refurbished 512 MB shuffle for… uh… $79? Hmm.

  • That’s what I call value! apple selling you a rare, antique, refurbished shuffle for only ten dollars more than a brand new one!
