  • "Does the “i” still stand for anything?" I doubt it, since everyone under the sun has copied the usage.

September 4, 1998: iMac Sales Set Torrid Pace
  • I wish I had one of the old bondi-blue iMacs. We do still have our Revision C models: tangerine and grape. The little buggers still work just fine, although they aren't currently hooked up.

  • My goodness, that is some of the homeliest design work I've ever seen. Here are some more pictures: http://support.gateway.com/s/MISC/CustIDSerial/Gateway_Learningsu32.shtml http://images.google.com/images?source=ig&hl=en&rlz;=&q=Gateway+Profile&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=J0CXSvKcIaKe8QaIgbGzDA&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&biw=1020 And what's up with the comment dates?

August 27, 2002: Gateway Targets the iMac
  • I've been using Super Duper for years and it's one of the best pieces of software available for the Mac. In fact, I think it should be bundled with every new Apple computer, it's that good and reliable. By the way Chris, did you realize that Super Duper will automatically repair permissions with every new backup?
  • Actually, the Dell mini is the perfect netbook to install OS X on, and quite a few people have done it. I wouldn't do it, but some consider it ethical if they pay for a retail version, regardless of Apple's EULA. Here is just one article on the subject. http://gizmodo.com/5156903/how-to-hackintosh-a-dell-mini-9-into-the-ultimate-os-x-netbook

Proof That Macs Hold Their Value
  • Could have been someone who collects old Macs. Or, who doesn't have a clue about computers.

Proof That Macs Hold Their Value
  • Sorry Chris, I couldn't resist that one. I don't know how many times I've composed and then proof read two or three times and the minute I see my post I catch a stupid error. What's up with that anyway? I do agree that Apple could do a better job. Hope they are reading this.

Apple, Please Clean Up the Clutter
  • "OS X needs a minimum of 2GB to run comfortably nowadays " Baloney! I'm running 10.5.6 on a 1.2 GHz iBook with 1280MB of RAM and it performs just fine. Including Safari. And what's with the repeated use of "fanbois"? You sound like some 14 year old zit-faced kid.

Apple, Please Give Us More Bang for Our Buck
  • Man I hate it when people correct the spelling or grammar of others. But, while we are on the subject: "What we all hopped for in iPhone 3.0 was ..." I hope you weren't literally hopping. But, you never know. As for iTunes, no matter how bloated, it's still beats Windows Media Player by a mile.

Apple, Please Clean Up the Clutter
  • Chris, Sorry for the overly harsh tone of my comment. Guess I was having a bad day. I'd be right beside you for the expandable low cost tower Mac.

Why is the Palm Pre Making Apple Tremble?
  • "Why the sudden interest in suing Palm?" The interest is only in the minds of hit-whore bloggers who come up with pathetic titles like "Why Is The Palm Pre Making Apple Tremble?"

Why is the Palm Pre Making Apple Tremble?
  • It's really a shame that Apple has let you down. Maybe you could get a job with PC World and cover all the amazing products at CES.

Apple Leaves MacWorld with a Whimper
  • I doubt that Apple is going to change just because some people can't or won't pony up the bucks to acquire a Mac. I would suggest purchasing used or refurbished models, which can save some serious money. If that's still too much for you to handle, stick to Linux and move on.

How Will Apple Handle a Recession?
  • Christian, I'm glad for you. I believe there are a lot more people like us than the other way around. If not, Apple wouldn't be on the rise as they are.

Why the MobileMe Disaster isn't as Bad as you Think
  • It's strange how some people have no problems and others seem to be cursed. But I've seen that over the years with a lot of Apple's products. I've rarely ever had issues. Luck of the draw?
