  • Steven... Eyes Open Please! "People have been giving Steve Jobs way too much credit over the non-DRM music issue." You're blithely ignoring Steve's boldness, clarity, power-in-the-industry, and the power of the DRM note itself. You've definitely got your knife sharpened on this one AND your reputation for clear thinking is the one you knifed.

Return of the Old Apple? Not Yet.
  • Whaa? Windows/MS is a dominant, convicted monopolist. You can make fun of them. (It's theater.) You can't attack a good, legitimate company and get away with it. (It's theater.) End of story.

So, I'm Trying Not to Hate the New iPhone Commercials
  • Aw Come On James, Anyone mention meditation or prozac to you? It's just a $10 fan. What gives with the conniption you're having? Target has great customer srvc. Something breaks. You bring it back. They give you cash or replace it. What's not to like? Here's how to handle broken things at places that liberally accept returns: Simple break or it just sucks - See 2nd paragraph (above)... Complex situation (You've had it for 10 months [1 yr warranty] - - Go to store and buy the same (new) thingamajig. Keep receipt. - Open box. Remove new thingamagig. - Clean old, broken thang. Insert in new box. Pack nicely. - Return w/ receipt and say it was DOA. - Voila! Enjoy the $$$ and low blood pressure. Regards, Your family should thank me. I believe you'll live to a ripe old age, now.
  • "Apparently out of that 45%, 37% were attracted to the iPhone because of the monster 8GB storage capability, with 36% enticed by quad-band worldwide capabilities and a further 31% interested in the “cool” interface. One thing that does baffle me slightly with the percentages here is that they add up to 104%." Seems like within the 45%, people were allowed to pick 1, 2, or 3 enticing features.
